William MacMahon
Trained as an architect
at UNSW. In his final year
Bill was tutored by Glenn Murcutt, a large influence
in his career, and then went on to work in the offices
of Marsh Freedman, spending ten months on the fit-out of the State Bank, a project that was the fertile training laboratory for many architects still practicing in Sydney.

In 1987 he founded, with
Michael Scott Mitchell and Stephen Roberts, D4Design Pty. Ltd. a multidisciplinary firm.
While running a practice straddling both architecture and interior design for over twenty years Bill has, since 1999, been
a part time lecturer in the interior architecture course in the faculty of the Built Environment at UNSW.
